Kyzylorda oblast: Opinion from inside
Kyzylorda oblast ranks third in oil production countrywide. Eighteen companies are engaged there in the development of oil and gas fields, 6 of the companies producing both oil and gas. Comprehensive efforts targeted at improving the environmental conditions are being made in the oblast. Last year the percentage of pollutant emissions per ton of produced oil indicated the lowest level nationwide. The oblast Akim Ikram Adyrbekov shares with the readers plans targeted at the development of the petrochemical industry and environmental projects.

Mangistau: Land-Sea-Sky projects
The Oil and gas sector is the major economic resource of Mangistau, which constitutes almost one third of country-wide production in this industry.
