N Project is getting things moving
On December 5, 2008 KMG, ConocoPhillips and Energy & Industry Holding Company entered into an agreement on principles on the N Project.
The parties agreed that the project management will be carried out by a joint operating company, in which KMG is supposed to hold 51%, whereas ConocoPhillips and Mubadala Development Company 24.5% each. In the future, during the production phase, KMG is expected to be a 100% owner of the operating company. details >>
A project of big hopes
On November 14 a document, important both for producers and global consumers of "black gold", was signed in Baku. Pipeline to China to be completed in one year
On October 31, 2008 in Astana, following the official visit of Prime Minister of the State Council of PRC, Wen Jiabao, to the RK, KazMunayGas and CNPC signed a Framework Agreement on Increasing Cooperation in the Field of Natural Gas and the Kazakhstan-China Gas Pipeline. It is expected that the first line of the Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline construction will be completed at the end of 2009. details >>
